David Tenney, PhD - President
High-Performance Director, Austin FC
David Tenney is the High-Performance Director for Austin FC, leveraging nearly two decades of experience in elite sports performance. Before joining Austin FC in its 2021 expansion season, Tenney held high-performance leadership roles with the Orlando Magic (2017-2020) and the Seattle Sounders (2009-2017).
While at Seattle, the Sounders won the 2014 Supporters Shield and 2016 MLS Cup and made nine consecutive playoff appearances. Tenney was also instrumental in launching the Sounders Sports Science Summit, a key conference in the sports science community. Before that, he worked with Sporting Kansas City, Washington Freedom, and George Mason University.
Tenney is known for his forward-thinking approach, which includes innovative, cutting-edge technologies to optimize athlete performance and recovery. He holds a Master's in Exercise Science and a Bachelor's in Coaching Science, and in 2022, he completed his PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of Arizona.
His blend of experience and education positions him as a pivotal figure in developing Austin FC's performance programs.
Garrison Draper is a seasoned sports performance expert dedicated to unlocking athletes' full potential. As the High Performance Director at Inter Miami CF, he leverages over 12 years of global experience to enhance the team’s performance strategies. Garrison’s journey began with a fascination for human physiology and a passion for both team and endurance sports, which led him to work across multiple continents—from Philadelphia and Australia to Germany and Mexico. Garrison’s Doctoral research at Teesside University also focused on the global challenges of football, understanding how soccer athletes are impacted by environmental environmental conditions.
With his role, he envisions and is building towards a future of sustained excellence, driven by the latest advancements in sports science and focused on athlete centered care. Outside of work, Garrison enjoys outdoor adventures and exploring new destinations with his wife, children, and their dogs. His personal pursuits of hiking and reading enrich his understanding of the human being, and have aided in his building of an athlete centered model for performance management.

Steven Mason - Treasurer
Head of Performance, Nashville FC
Steven currently serves as the Head of Performance for Nashville Soccer Club, where plays a critical role in optimizing the physical performance of the team. He joined the club in 2019 and assisted in their transition from USL to MLS in 2020. With a strong background in sports performance and athlete development, Steven is dedicated to advancing the standards of training and wellness in professional soccer. His expertise encompasses various disciplines, including speed developent, strength and conditioning, sports massage, injury prevention, and recovery strategies. Steven is passionate about leveraging data-driven insights and innovative training methodologies to enhance player capabilities and promote a winning culture. He currently holds his CSCS and RSCC through the NSCA and is also a licensed sports massage therapist (LMT).
Adam Parr - Secretary
Head of Performance, Charlotte FC
Adam Parr is currently the Head of Performance for Charlotte FC, where he has been since the club’s inaugural season in 2022. During his time at CLTFC, he played a lead role in fully designing the state of the art weight room at the club’s brand-new training facility, as well as establishing a Physical Development Framework for the club to implement with athletes from the Academy up to the First Team. Previously, he served as the Head of Strength & Conditioning for Minnesota United FC, as well as Head of Strength & Conditioning and Data Analytics at Reno 1868 FC. Prior to that, he worked in the private sector, owning a fitness and performance company in Beverly Hills, CA. He has earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, and his Master of High-Performance Sport from Australian Catholic University. Adam is incredibly passionate about continuing to elevate performance and sport science education in the United States, by guest lecturing at several universities and presenting at conferences every year, to ensure the next generation of practitioners have the necessary skills and insights to move the field forward. He currently holds his CSCS and RSCC from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and his USAW-L1 from USA Weightlifting.
Jarryd Phillips - HP Director Rep
Director of Performance, St. Louis CITY SC
Jarryd Phillips has spent the last three seasons at St. Louis CITY SC and serves the team’s High Performance Director. He holds UEFA and USSF Coaching Licenses. The South African native brings 13 years of experience in coaching, including time in MLS, USL, NASL and NCAA.
Prior to St. Louis, Phillips spent eight seasons in MLS with stints at the New England Revolution, Minnesota United FC and Seattle Sounders FC. In Minnesota, he established and directed all facets of the performance department for the first team and academy beginning in 2016, as the club prepared to ascend from the NASL to MLS in 2017. In Seattle, he was a member of the sporting staff that contributed to the team making the playoffs every season. Phillips achieved a similar feat with New England, making the playoffs in all three years he was there while helping the team to a Supporters’ Shield title in 2021.
Peter Gorka - Performance Specialist Rep
Assistant Performance Specialist, Charlotte FC
Peter Gorka is currently the Assistant Performance Specialist at Charlotte Football Club. His previous experiences include Performance Coach at the Colorado Rapids and D.C. United of Major League Soccer, as well as, positions with IMG Academy, USA Field Hockey, and The US Olympic & Paralympic Committee. He earned his M.A. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Rehab Science from San Diego State University and a B.S. in Exercise Science from Trine University. He is currently working through his U.S. soccer coaching license pathway and holds the CSCS and RSCC certifications from the NSCA and additional certifications from entities within the discipline.
Walter Grandez - Performance Scientist Rep
Performance Scientist, San Diego FC
Walter Grandez is the current Performance Scientist for San Diego FC. Previously, he served as the Performance Scientist for Los Angeles FC (LAFC), Lead Sport Scientist for the Philadelphia Union and the Academy Sport Scientist for LA Galaxy. Walter has also worked in performance science and strength and conditioning with the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB), USA Rugby 7s, the USYNT, the University of Southern California, and Team USA under the Olympic and Paralympic Committee. He earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge, and his M.S. in Kinesiology from A.T. Still University. Walter is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sport Science at Teesside University. He holds certifications in CPSS, CSCS, and RSCC from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Derek Landry - MLS NEXT Pro Rep
Director of Performance, Carolina Core FC
Derek Landry is the current Director of Performance for Carolina Core FC. Previously, he served as the Performance Coach/Sports Scientist for Colorado Rapids 2 as well as the Assistant Fitness Coach and Sports Scientist for D.C. United. Derek has also worked as a strength and conditioning coach and sports scientist with IMG Academy and the USMNT, respectively. He earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his M.S. in Strength and Conditioning from the University of St. Mary’s, Twickenham. He holds certifications as a Level 1 USAW and CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Joseph V. Dolisi, Esq. - Legal Counsel
Joseph Dolisi serves as the CEO & Founder of Credo Sports, a premier sports management firm located in New York. Joseph is a licensed attorney for the state of New York, as well as certified NBA Player Agent/Contract Advisor, since 2017.
During law school, Joseph worked for the NBA Coaches Association under the late Executive Director Michael H. Goldberg, as well as the current Executive Director David Fogel. While at the NBCA, he worked on various legal projects for all Head and Assistant coaches, including projects for coaches Rick Carlisle, Dwane Casey, David Joerger, Jason Kidd, and Terry Stotts.
Joseph currently represents several performance coaches, medical practitioners, and practitioner groups in the NBA, NFL, and MLS. Joseph has negotiated over twenty million dollars in employment and marketing agreements in professional sports since 2017, and has served as a huge advocate for professionals who oftentime get overlooked by their teams but are integral parts of managing player health and safety.
